Projects
Tariro is currently running the following projects in partnership with the churches it has established in the villages:
- Pre-schools - in Kazingizi began in 2005, Tsiga and Katsukunya began in 2007; more help needed to cater for the needs of other villages in the future;
- School building programme - beginning in 2009 in Kazingizi for five classrooms for cater for older children
- Residential care for orphan children - a house has been built in Katsingizi to house 15 children in 2007;
- Tailoring Project - began in 2006, but suspended in 2008 due to lack of materials;
- Pig farming - farm began in 2005 and now supplies other villages with animals to start their own pig farms;
- Agriculture – Since 2005 involved in supply of seed and fertilizer to sustain farming of maize and vegetables to feed the orphans in Kazingizi
- Carpentry – On going service and work for villagers since 2005/6 when the church was built. Suffers also from lack of materials in 2008;
- Other income generation activities are suspended because of lack of goods in Zimbabwe.
